Today was our last full day in Costa Rica. While many of us are sad to be leaving the happiest country in the world and warm 90 degree weather, we are all excited to come home and tell our families about the amazing experiences we have had here.
Today, we went to a beach on the Pacific side of Guanacaste called Carrillo, where the water was much saltier and colder than on the Atlantic side, however, it was still refreshing and the sun left us with tans and burns (mostly burns).
At the beach, we drank coconut water, played Frisbee, tanned, had splashing fights in the water, and listened to music. After that, we went back to EARTH University to get ready for the four hour bus ride back to San José.
Once we got there, we said goodbye to our bus driver and tour guide. This trip would not have been possible without their help and patience.
We have all had so much fun here and have learned so much about sustainability, Costa Rican culture, renewable energy, rocket science, and other major specific topics.
Tomorrow, we will be leaving from San José to Newark, New Jersey at 1400 and will arrive in Boston at 2330. Since this is my last time blogging for this trip, I would like to thank those who have been following the experience. It has been so fun to recount the days and I hope everyone gets a chance to visit this beautiful country. Pura Vida!
